Psychologist

Claudia
Tapia
Claudia Tapia is CTS Director and Principal Psychologist. She is registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and the Psychology Board of Australia. Claudia has a Psychology degree and obtained her Master’s degree from the University of Sydney. She has over 25 years experience as a counsellor and Behaviour Support Practitioner including 14 years of experience as a registered Psychologist. Claudia has a vast range of experience in providing Psychological services across all age groups in the areas of mental health, trauma, disabilities, parent coaching, educational settings, vocational settings and psychometric assessments. This experience includes treating individuals presenting with; anxiety, depression, stress, anger management problems, self-harm, suicidal ideation, child & adult trauma, drug, alcohol & gambling addictions, complex grief, self-injurious behaviours, violent and harmful behaviours, chronic pain management, sleep difficulties & disorders, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) , mood disorders, personality disorders,, Neuro-developmental disorders (Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder(ADHD), motor disorders) , Opposition Defiant Disorder(ODD), developmental and intellectual delays and disabilities.
Claudia has experience in providing psychological services to government and non-government organisations Her wealth of knowledge and experience influence her eclectic approach in using different modalities to address the presenting concerns and individuality of her clients. Claudia’s natural desire to help people is what has brought her to Psychology and what motivates her to lead CTS team. She has a keen interest in client centered interventions drawing on an eclectic framework of therapeutic interventions with the aim of building upon the client’s strengths.

Ayuna
Godinez
Ayuna is a contracted Psychologist with CTS. She is a friendly and empathetic Psychologist who has experience working with adults, adolescents, children and families. Ayuna has supported people with a broad range of presentations such as anxiety, depression, behavioral and emotional regulation issues, parenting, relationships issues, daily life stressors, confidence building and empowering the individual. She aims to support clients. by introducing a range of skills to enable them to live at their best capacity and well-being according to a person’s individual needs. Ayuna brings open-
mindedness to each unique situation, using evidence-based approaches to support clients’ needs. Ayuna uses an individually tailored approach drawing. from a broad range of methods including, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness-based therapies and
Narrative Therapy.
Ayuna has obtained a Bachelor of Psychology with Honours and a Master of Professional Psychology at Western Sydney University. Ayuna is registered with. the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and an Australian Psychological Society (APS) member.
Behaviour Support Specialist
Lesley-Ann Aitken
Lesley Ann Aitken is a Behaviour Support Practitioner with a vast experience in working with individuals with a variety of abilities.
She has been in the disability industry for over 20 years, in this time she worked for Family and Community Services Managing Supported Independant Living Homes for individuals with a vast rage of abilities and challenging behaviors for 15 years. As Lesley loves advocating and making a difference in people's lives she worked as a Support Coordinator, and she moved into Behaviour Support as this is where her true passion is.
As Lesley thinks outside the box and always sees the individual's ability (their superpower), as she has an enormous amount of passion this drives her to seek the best and want the best, she is always seeking innovative ways for the best outcomes of all she supports.
Behaviour Support Practitioner
Bethany Nixon
Bethany works for Combined Therapy Services on a contractor basis. She is completing her postgraduate studies in Psychology and have several years experience in counselling and working as a Behaviour Support Practitioner. She is passionate about helping people overcome any obstacles that may hinder their growth, and seeing each individual foster an increased sense of purpose and engagement in life. A mum of three young boys, She is particularly interested in working with children and their families to achieve a cohesive and peaceful home. Her clinical strengths are autism, ADHD and trauma informed practice. In her spare time you will find her making music, being creative or (on rare occasions) taking an awesome photo.

With a wealth of experience in paediatric Occupational Therapy, Bo is dedicated to empowering children and adolescents to reach their fullest potential and thrive in their daily lives.
• Extensive experience in providing holistic assessment and evidence-based interventions for clients with diverse needs, including developmental delays, sensory processing disorders, autism spectrum disorders, and physical disabilities.
• Expertise in creating individualized treatment plans tailored to each client's unique strengths, challenges, and goals, fostering independence and enhancing participation in meaningful activities.
• Proficiency in sensory integration therapy, fine and gross motor skill development, handwriting intervention, social skills training, and behavioural management techniques.
• Collaborative approach, working closely with families, caregivers, educators, and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive support and continuity of care.
